iPhone 5 To Support Wireless Charging ?

A wireless charging accessory will soon be available to buy for the Samsung Galaxy SIII and it looks like Apple's new iPhone could well follow suit.

Patents have been granted to Apple related to wireless charging which were reported by IBTimes. The patent refers to a docking station with inductive charging, which is the technology used to wirelessly charge smartphones and could well be debuted in the iPhone 5.

Another related patent suggests that Apple's new docks for the iPhone 5 could well enhance wireless signal as well. This is a great idea and we wonder why it hasn't been done in the past. Sadly, all this information is totally unconfirmed and we'll just have to wait until the iPhone 5 is officially unveiled.

Apple are expected to unveil a new dock connector in the iPhone 5, which is smaller than the previous 30 pin-connector. If this proves correct it means that previous iPhone's and iPad's wont be able to use the new iPhone 5 docks.

iPhone 5 rumours have been circulating online for some time and the device itself is expected to be unveiled in October. The rumours we've heard previously suggest that the iPhone 5 will have a larger 4 inch touch-screen , will support NFC and a liquid-metal case.

3G will keep you up to date on any new leaks related to the iPhone 5 when they appear.
