Apple iPhone 4S price reduced by £100 on O2
Apple iPhone 4S reduced by £100 on O2 Refresh
The UK retailer O2 has cut the price of the iPhone 4S on its network by a £100.
You can now pickup Apple's smartphone on O2 Refresh for £22 a month with an upfront cost of just £19.99. The tariff - made up of a £12 Airtime plan and a £10 Phone plan - gets you 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data.
O2 Refresh is a new type of flexible mobile plan introduced by O2 that enables users to "get the latest smartphone whenever they want".
When signing up you to O2 Refresh you take out an "Airtime plan" for your minutes, data and texts and a separate "Phone plan" to pay for the cost of the phone.
If you wish to upgrade early you'll only have to pay off the "Phone plan", rather than the combined cost of the tariff. Should you reach the end of your contract you'll no longer have to pay the "Phone plan" at all.
The Apple iPhone 4S might have been eclipsed by the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5S, but it's still a great compact smartphone and it can be updated to the latest version of Apple's operating system (iOS 7).
Our review of the iPhone 4S concluded that "The iPhone 4S, like all the iPhones before it, is built to please" adding that "Strong and sleek on the inside and outside – its touch display is the most responsive we’ve seen and the distinctive glass and metal chassis looks great"
