The Honor 90 is a great example of why you don’t need to spend a fortune to get a superb phone. This has a mid-range price, and yet glance at it and you could easily mistake it for a high-end handset.

It has a sleek 7.8mm thick build, a gently curved back, almost no bezels around the screen, and it’s light at 183g.

Speaking of the screen, the Honor 90 has a 6.7-inch 1200 x 2664 AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a high 1,600-nit peak brightness.

That brightness makes it easy to view outdoors, and with 3840Hz PWM (pulse-width modulation) Dimming it’s easier on the eyes than most smartphone screens. The display is one of the real highlights here, and it wouldn’t look out of place on a much higher end phone.

But the screen and the design aren’t the only highlights of the Honor 90, as this phone also has a big 5,000mAh battery and extremely fast 66W charging. So it can last all day and beyond, and then charge up quickly once it does run low.

You also get an impressive 200MP main camera here, which can take ultra-detailed photos, and is joined by a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth sensor. There’s also a high-spec 50MP camera on the front, which excels for selfies, even in low light.

Plus, the Honor 90 has a Snapdragon 7 Gen Accelerated Edition chipset, which – coupled with up to 12GB of RAM – gives you almost flagship power on a fraction of the budget.

There’s up to 512GB of storage built in too, so you needn’t worry about space, and the Honor 90 also has an under-display fingerprint sensor, and supports 5G.
