UK : Vodafone have launched the first-ever interactive real-time music chart.
Real-Time Top 40 is powered by Twitter. Twitter users post the song and artist they are listening to and it updates the chart immediately.
Obviously, the chart will be affected by bias seen as they will all be on Twitter but it might give an approximation of the weekend’s charts!
Vodafone have integrated links to its Music store to buy the songs into the Top40 chart, so users can easily grab the latest must-have tunes!
In order to cast a vote Twitter users should tweet #RealTimeTop40 and the name of the artist and track they are listening to. The Vodafone Real-Time Top 40 will then be instantly updated to reflect your vote.
Tracks from the Vodafone Music Store will cost 49p per track or £7.99 for a whole album.
