UK : Three have long been “innovators” in the world of mobile broadband and they’ve yet again achieved a mobile broadband first.
Three have officially launched Mobile Wifi, which has cutely been codenamed MiFi in the UK.
MiFi enables users to share their mobile broadband over a personal WiFi network. The value of this is obvious; it means you can share your mobile broadband over multiple devices and with your friends.
The range of the new “route” (pictured above) needed to use Mobile-Wifi is about 10 metres, which is easily enough for any friends nearby to use your mobile broadband.
For example, you could have internet on your laptop and Sony PSP at the same time through the same mobile broadband connection.
Mobile Wi-Fi enables the full 3.6MPbs speed of Threes Mobile Broadband to be shared wireless over your MiFi network.
The setup is incredibly easy, which just involves turning on the “wireless” router and connecting your devices. No software installation is necessary!
MiFi can be obtained on a £15 a month contract, which includes 5GB data usage and is on a rolling one-month contract. However, you do need to pay £69.99 for the new USB modem needed.
You can buy MiFi right now from the Three store, click here to visit!
