Mobile Music Downloads Boost for O2 Customers UK : O2 UK customers can now benefit from a better mobile music experience by using Shazam. If you hear a music track on the TV, radio or someone else’s mobile device that youd like yourself, Shazam allows O2 customers to dial 2580 from their 3G mobile phone and hold your phone so it picks up the music.

Shazam then anayses the music and will text you back with the details of the track, with an embedded link within the text so that you can immediately download the track from O2.

So Shazam simplifies the whole process and eliminates the need to search for the track you heard. The new agreement will be supported by advertising on O2 Active and TV. Matt Ward, Head of Music at O2 commented . "We have joined forces with a leader in this space to allow our customers to have an even greater in-depth music experience on their mobile."
