Europe / Japan : The guidelines that manufacturers of handsets and components have to follow for bringing their products on the Japanese market are different to those which are applied for example in Europe or the USA.

In order to meet these specific requirements defined by the Japanese Radio Law, CETECOM has developed a number of 3G RF test cases for its own test platform FACTSware and is now the first independent laboratory to offer this testing service as well as a proprietary test system that is able to conduct these tests according to the Japanese test specifications.

At the same time, CETECOM has equipped its 3G protocol test platforms with the 3G protocol test cases required for Japan.

Combined with the testing services of its internationally accredited EMC laboratory and its Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) who is authorised to issue certificates for Japan CETECOM’s portfolio now covers all tests and certification services that are necessary for bringing W-CDMA, UMTS and FOMA terminals on the Japanese market.

About CETECOM
CETECOM – a subsidiary of RWTÜV AG with headquarters in Essen (Germany) – is a worldwide leading provider in consulting, testing, certification and approval services for the mobile communications and the wireless industry with several state-of-the-art testing laboratories in Europe, the USA and Asia.
