Ireland Announces Retail Partnership with Xtra-vision |
| 12th
September , 2006 |
|
Xtra-vision sells a range of consumer electronics from mobile phones to DVDs and sees a substantial daily customer base in its stores. The agreement further strengthens 3’s presence on the High Street following its entry into the pre-pay market in May. Xtra-vision joins 3’s existing retail partnerships with other well-known high street retailers 3G, Carphone Warehouse and independent stores nationwide. Robert Finnegan ( inset above ), 3’s Managing Director said: “3 has changed the face of the Irish mobile market by offering customers more for their money with new, exclusive services like 3’s music TV channel presented by Tom Dunne and great value pricing. Xtra-vision is at the heart of the home entertainment market, attracting high spenders on video, games and multi-media. With over sixty percent of our customers regularly enjoying new mobile entertainment services, Xtra-vision is an ideal channel to market making 3 well-placed to win consumer demand for 3G on the High St.” Xtra-vision will offer handsets from leading manufacturers including the new Sony Ericsson K610i in red, the Motorola V3x in pink, the LG8330, LG8360 and Motorola C975. 3’s competitive pre-pay pricing 3Pay will be available in all 154 Xtra-vision stores with bill-pay in selected outlets plus special “X-clusives”, only from Xtra-vision. Recently, 3 launched its 5c pre-pay offer for text, picture and video messaging for everyone, for life – any network any time. 3 also offers the best 3G content including free highlights from the Barclays Premiership five minutes after the whistle blows, classic comedy like Father Ted and 3’s own music channel, The Hive, hosted by Tom Dunne. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. |
