2005 Product Differentiation Award for 3G Analyzer

19th September , 2005

US : RADCOM has been selected to receive the Frost & Sullivan 2005 Product Differentiation Innovation Award. This prestigious award is presented each year to the company that has best demonstrated the ability to develop and advance products with more innovative capabilities than competing vendors and products.

RADCOM was selected to receive the award in recognition of its successful integration of new and existing ATM applications into its Performer Analyzer product family. With 3G roll outs happening rapidly across the world, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting ATM backbone networks for 3G/ Universal Mobile Telecommunication Systems (UMTS) networks is becoming increasingly more important. RADCOM’s solution addresses this need.

“Based on our recently completed global study, Frost & Sullivan predicts a potential for growth opportunities in the right application areas of the ATM test equipment market and RADCOM is definitely one of the leading players in the appropriate areas,” said Sankara Jambulingam, Research Analyst. “The company’s well-designed Performer Analyzer is an innovative, unique and focused solution in the market. Its hardware-based GEAR chip can be used to perform analysis and troubleshooting for ATM networks in real time. By moving the processing from the software arena to the GEAR chip on the protocol analyzer, RADCOM has been able to enable the filtering, monitoring, and gathering of statistics up to rates of OC-48 in real time. High-speed applications such as finding the ‘needle in the haystack’, where the needle is the faulty cell/frame/circuit/packet and the haystack is the high-speed network, can be easily done by the Performer. This is considered to be one of the main advantages of RADCOM over its competitors, as this real-time processing cannot be efficiently done by software, which is usually the means adopted by the competitors. With its salient features, the Performer Analyzer is forecast to increase RADCOM’s market share in the future, and is a worthy recipient of Frost & Sullivan’s 2005 Product Differentiation Innovation Award.”

“With communication networks becoming increasingly complicated with new technologies, it is essential for test and measurement equipment to converge. RADCOM’s tactical approach of supporting different technologies using the same infrastructure makes it stand out in the market. We are proud that Frost & Sullivan has chosen to distinguish the Performer Analyzer as an outstanding solution that efficiently tests various technologies and applications using a common platform,” said Arnon Toussia-Cohen, President and Chief Executive Officer, RADCOM.

The Performer is a powerful tool for monitoring and troubleshooting the performance of Voice over IP (Voice over IP), Wide Area Network (WAN)/ Local Area Network (LAN)/ Asynchronous transfer mode (ATM)/ Packet over SONET (PoS)/ Metro networks at all seven layers. Being flexible, versatile, and distributed, it allows customers to remotely access resources, optimizing test equipment usage. Moreover, the complete Performer Analyzer suite offers a range of interfaces and tools for troubleshooting and monitoring various networks that includes VoIP, ATM, LAN, Gigabit Ethernet, IP, TCP/IP, MPLS, OC-3/12/48 Packet over SONET/POS, OC-3/12/48 ATM, WAN and MLPPP (Multi-link PPP).
