Vodafone Introduce Sony Ericsson Z1010 UMTS in Netherlands

ASIA : Vodafone is the first to extend its UMTS handset range with the SonyEricsson Z1010, a high-quality UMTS mobile telephone. Following the launch of UMTS for consumers with the Vodafone live! Samsung Z105, this SonyEricsson 'communication all-rounder' is now available at all Vodafone shops.

Not only does this innovative mobile telephone with clamshell design features a number of functions and accessories for multi-media fun via Vodafone live! and voice and data communication (like email access), it also incorporates UMTS Video Telephony and live TV.

Just like the first Vodafone UMTS mobile telephone, the SonyEricsson Z1010 offers Vodafone customers extremely convenient and simple Video Telephony via UMTS. At the touch of a button, both parties can see each other and talk in handsfree mode if they are using a Vodafone UMTS mobile phone and have UMTS network coverage. With a coverage percentage of 55% Vodafone offers a geographical spread of the Vodafone UMTS network, connecting larger cities, industrial estates, motorways and railways in the Netherlands.
