: Anritsu Company President Frank Tiernan announces the company's
latest innovative test solution for CDMA with the introduction of
the Cell Master MT8212B. The development of the MT8212B, a handheld
instrument weighing less than five pounds that can be used to ensure
proper deployment, installation and maintenance of CDMA and GSM networks,
expands Anritsu's CDMA product offering and is expected to further
strengthen the company's increasing CDMA market presence.
"CDMA is
one of the fastest growing wireless technologies and it will continue
to develop at a rapid pace. For more than a century, Anritsu has been
providing innovative solutions to help customers engaged in leading
edge applications meet their needs and objectives. One way we do this
is through our membership in the CDMA Development Group (CDG) and
participation in association events such as the CDMA Americas Congress
to be held later this month." said Tiernan.
As a member of
the CDG, which is comprised of the world's leading CDMA service providers
and manufacturers, Anritsu has worked with companies to develop CDMA
test solutions. These solutions are being used by some of the largest
CDMA device and system manufacturers, as well as carriers, to ensure
optimum performance of CDMA networks.
"3G wireless
data services and networks are asked to do much more than just a few
years ago. Today, consumers use their wireless devices to check e-mail,
browse the Internet, and take and send pictures. CDMA technology is
a big part of making these applications real, and Anritsu is committed
to developing test solutions that will help ensure the performance
of the networks and user equipment that support these applications,"
said Tiernan.
Existing test
solutions include the MT8820A radio communications analyzer, which
is recognized as the fastest instrument for conducting transmitter
(Tx) and receiver (Rx) tests on W-CDMA, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, cdma2000 1x
and 1xEVDO user equipment (UE) terminals at both the R&D and manufacturing
stages. Anritsu's Signature (MS2781A) groundbreaking signal analyzer
can also be used in CDMA and W-CDMA design and manufacture, as well
as in other advanced RF and microwave communications systems. Other
CDMA solutions include a family of bench top portable spectrum analyzers
(MS2683A/MS2687B) and transmitter testers (MS8608/MS8609A) that offer
fast and accurate modulation analysis capabilities for CDMA-based
technologies, as well as a companion signal generator (MG3681A) for
signal simulation requirements.
Another instrument
used at the development and production stages is the ML2488A power
meter. When paired with the ML2491A 18 GHz CDMA sensor, RF signal
power of CDMA signals can be made with extremely high accuracy.
In addition to
the Cell Master MT8212B, Anritsu also offers the Spectrum Master™
handheld spectrum analyzers for measuring the performance of CDMA
base stations in the field. Spectrum Master provides a similar ease
of operation and light weight as the Cell Master.
