Europe
: NetHawk is introducing a new release of their analyser, the main
new functionalities being intended to help the user in testing of
a live GPRS/EDGE network by any major vendor.
One
of the main new features is the correlated multi-interface call trace,
which makes it easy for the user to follow all the ongoing circuit-switched
calls and packet switched sessions in real time in Gb, Abis, and A
interfaces. This, combined with the extended physical link capacity
through the NetHawk portable C8 multiplexer, and powerful new filtering
features make for the most advanced and versatile protocol testing
tool on the market. NetHawk is not sacrificing ease of use for the
added functionality; the new analyser’s Dynamic Abis support,
along with other optimisations to the user interface, minimises the
need for configuration and enables more efficient testing work.
The
capabilities of the NetHawk Analyser have been further enhanced by
including support for the SS7 and SigTran protocols, as well as for
2-Mbps HSL (high-speed signalling link) interfaces. In addition to
this, the NetHawk Analyser can also handle Gb deciphering in real
time in both Gb over Frame Relay and Gb over IP implementations. To
respond to modern Europe’s railway operators’ needs, NetHawk
is also introducing support for decoding GSM-R (GSM – Railway),
which is the standard chosen by several railway operators for operational
communications.
All
these new features, combined with the unmatched portability of NetHawk
tools, provide strong support to NetHawk’s customers in their
efforts to develop their networks for new services and revenue sources,
as well as for troubleshooting their live networks for increased quality
and performance.
