Europe UK : Anite Telecoms announced the commercial launch of its first High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) test case package, from which five test cases have already been successfully validated against two or more terminals. Above : Shows the SAT(A) platform which most customers run the conformance products on. The Anite SAT can be expanded up to 8 cells for more complex testing requirements. The configuration shown has two cells that can be configured as UTRAN cells and two GERAN-only cells. This configuration is popular as it will perform most multi-RAT test cases as well as HSDPA and HSUPA-only tests. Anite has consistently led the industry in the provision of High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) test capability. Anite's Conformance Toolset has the industry's best 3GPP test case coverage which means that, in addition to having early access to the latest critical new technology, it can also provide the best GERAN, W-CDMA and HSDPA protocol test case coverage. The product, shipping to customers now, is the result of Anite's continuous collaboration with the world's leading wireless operators and developers. Anite is working with these companies to deliver the 3G promise. HSDPA and HSUPA make W-CDMA networks faster, improve spectral efficiency and reduce latency. HSUPA delivers major improvements to data transfer rates from the mobile terminal to the network increasing uplink speeds from 384 kbps to 5.7 Mbps. Furthermore, customers' test system investment is protected as these HSDPA test cases can be executed on Anite's revolutionary SAT(A)UE multiple-technology testing platform. With no upgrade required, customers are provided with an integrated, flexible testing solution. Richard Bellairs, Product Marketing Manager at Anite Telecoms commented: "By working closely with operators and developers on HSDPA over the years, we are now in a strong position to provide our customers with the best HSUPA service early in the development cycle as well. Anite supported customers through HSUPA design validation and now conformance testing. The launch of HSUPA test cases essentially ensures customers are provided with the appropriate test equipment in preparation for the consumer launch of HSUPA-enabled handsets." |
