ZTE have announced the launch of a new Android tablet called "Light".
ZTE are best known for providing network accessories such as dongles to network operators but they have produced smartphones in the past including the ZTE racer.
The new tablet runs on Android 2.1, which is actually believed to be better for running tablets than the latest version.
A 7 inch touch-screen TFT is present and the device supports both 3G and WiFi connectivity. The Light has 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM and also features a 3 mega-pixel rear camera. Other features include built-in GPS, Bluetooth, microSD support up to 32GB , 3.5 mm headphone socket and up to 10 hours working battery-life.
The device has currently only been confirmed in China, but we'd expect it to come to Europe. No price or release date has been announced but once we hear more we'll let you know.
