First 3G Network Launched in Vietnam

Vietnam : Vinaphone has launched the first 3G network providing customers with 3G voice and data services in Vietnam. The 3G network was an upgrade from 2G by Motorola was achieved in just two months. The order wasp was placed on 27th August, 2009. Read about the order here.
The new 3G network has been launched in northern Vietnam including the capital, Hanoi and Vinaphone’s customers will now benefit from high speed 3G mobile broadband.
Dr. Ray Owen of Motorola Vietnam said "We were committed to upgrading and delivering the 3G network for Vinaphone within just a few months of the contract being signed. As a result, Vinaphone is the first operator to launch a commercial 3G service in Viet Nam, making this another notable example of Motorola's capabilities in both 3G technology and services."
