Europe : Research in Motion has released “BlackBerry Desktop Manager” for Mac users.
The software enables easing syncing of data from Mac applications straight onto your BlackBerry smartphone. So you can import your contacts from iCal, Microsoft Entourage and other applications directly into your Blackberry address book.
BlackBerry Desktop Manager also enables you to easily backup your files, as well as add encryption to any files you’d like to protect. Updating your Blackberry software is also easily done with the new desktop manager.
The desktop manager also integrates BlackBerry Media sync, which enables iTunes collections to be easily synced with your BlackBerry. Users can select the playlists and music they’d like to share and it will quickly and automatically be transferred to their Blackberry smart-phone.
The Blackberry Desktop Software is compatible with Mac OS 10.5.5 and higher and supports all BlackBerry devices running Blackberry OS 4.2 and higher.
