US : KORE Telematics announced that it has partnered with the leading provider of CDMA wireless services to power new data services for the M2M market. Under this agreement, KORE will now offer a broad base of reliable wireless M2M data services to its customers and partners on CDMA and GSM networks directly via the companys integrated platform services.

By bringing CDMA 1xRTT as well as EV-DO 3G services to the M2M market, KORE opens up more opportunities for ASPs and provides them with a very attractive alternative to services provided directly by network operators, said Alex Brisbourne, president and chief operating officer, KORE Telematics. Now, advanced applications including advertising, billboard management and security applications including pictures and video, become easier and more cost-effective to deliver.

According to Berg Insight, CDMA held a 67 percent market share among cellular and wireless M2M technologies in the North American market at the end of 2006. With its current leadership position in GSM wireless M2M network services, KORE is now poised to drive an accelerated share of the overall North American M2M market. For the first time, KORE will make its proven customer and partner support services available to application service providers that want to bring their unique applications to market on the CDMA network.

Total shipments of cellular M2M devices in North America reached a record level of 5.3 million units in 2006, and we expect that number to hit nearly 8 million M2M-based devices shipped this year, said Tobias Ryberg, principal analyst, Berg Insight. As the demand for M2M applications continues to grow at exponential rates, providing customers and partners with the ability to choose a wireless network CDMA or GSM will create more flexibility for M2M wireless applications providers. With its long-term partnerships with North Americas leading CDMA and GSM wireless carriers, KORE is ideally positioned to provide these application service providers with the reliable wireless data services, as well as voice solutions, required to power their M2M applications.

With a majority of todays vehicle tracking and telematics applications powered by CDMA wireless networks, this new relationship will enable KORE to expand its presence in a market that is already in high demand among its more than 450 applications partners. In addition, many vertical segments, including automated metering application service providers in the rapidly emerging utilities market utilize either CDMA or GSM wireless networks. For instance, utilities can use KORE-based CDMA or GSM network services to wirelessly monitor household electric meters, eliminating costly on-site visits to thousands of homes.

KORE partners and customers will now benefit from common interfaces for managing both CDMA and GSM network services, providing them with the most comprehensive network in the M2M market. Providing CDMA and GSM coverage across the United States, KORE can ensure that machine-powered devices will consistently have the wireless access required to automate processes, eliminate manual tasks and improve overall operating efficiencies across a number of vertical markets, including vehicle tracking, telematics, healthcare, utilities, environmental, vending and security.

Our partners and customers are constantly bringing innovative M2M applications to market. They look to us to provide them with the most reliable wireless network services to make these applications broadly available, said Brisbourne. By teaming with North Americas most reliable CDMA wireless network provider, KORE becomes the single point of network service delivery for M2M and telematics services.

KORE will be demonstrating the power of its M2M wireless network at booth #1325 at the CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2007 conference, taking place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from October 23 25, 2007, and at booth #517 in the Mobile Business Expo at Interop New York, taking place at The Javits Center in New York October 24 and 25, 2007.
