Europe
: Ericsson's leadership in 3G is once again confirmed as, to date,
more than 10 million of the world's WCDMA (3G) handsets are based
on Ericsson technology.
Ericsson Mobile
Platforms took an early lead in 3G with an estimated 30 percent market
share in WCDMA handset sales during 2004. Several of the top handset
manufacturers in the world have license agreements with Ericsson Mobile
Platforms for 3G platforms.
