: The most favoured UMTS mobiles in Austria come from LG Electronics:
already 46% of all national 3Customers are using the chic handset
from LG and appraise the advantages of the LG U8110 and the LG U8120:
small, light weight, chic - and versatile! The extra-slim clam-shell
models stand out because of their unique stand-by times and multitude
of other functions, like MP3 player, an integrated email client and
a rotating VGA camera for pictures in JPEG format. The mobile can
easily be connected to a PC or a notebook via USB or Infrared, also
SyncML, mobile broadband internet access with download rates of 384
kbps.

the New Year with a new VideoMobile from LG

LGE takes
benefit of the know-how one has gathered as South Korea ranks number
one of all countries with 3G penetration: about 7.3 m people hold
a 3G mobile and use primarily mobile TV - creating about 40% of the
revenue. LGE is the fastest growing producer of mobile handsets amongst
the 6 top producers of the world. Asian manufacturers dominate the
3G market: LG holds in Europe, the middle East and in Africa in the
third quarter of this year a market share of 54.5%, before NEC with
22% and Nokia with 9.7%.
Hutchison
3G Austria GmbH, clearly the market leader with UMTS applications
will present further exclusive handsets from the Korean factory to
the market and will once again stir up the local mobile multi media
market. LGE is present with 2G mobiles and 3G mobiles in 40 countries
and is, after NEC, the second biggest producer of UMTS handsets and
since 1989 operating in the Austrian market (since 2004 also with
mobile phones). "Within the upcoming three years we want to push
forward from fifth to third place what sales are concerned - we are
on the best way to this goal with our products!", announces M.
