: RADCOM Ltd announced the immediate availability of the R4000 Performer™
platform. The new platform is a rack-mount 5U server that supports
eight generic front-end processors (GenFEPs). GenFEPs are a protocol,
technology and rate independent hardware solution that supports a
wide range of multi-port line interface modules. Powered by RADCOM’s
highly successful GEAR , a proprietary, full custom ASIC chip-based
processor, the R4000 can boost the performance of most Performer™
VoIP, cellular and data communications test applications by a factor
of four.
The new platform supports the Global Positioning System ( GPS), Network
Time Protocol ( NTP) and local synchronization for precise time-related
measurement including round-trip delays; device, network and end-to-end
latencies, etc. that are required in many test applications including
gateway and multi-layer switch testing.
The
R4000 is a best value solution that supports 3G Cellular & telecom
convergence testing by offering multi-interface, multi-technology,
multi-user and multi-application support from a single platform. By
adding inter-changeable line interface modules, customers can add
technologies as needed.
"Today,
high-port density, modularity and future-proof ability are factors
of paramount importance to both equipment manufacturers and service
providers, as control over capital and operational expenditures remains
top of mind. RADCOM's R4000 Performer platform not only meets these
customer demands but also enables end-users to capitalize on the growing
market opportunity created by the convergence of VoIP and cellular
technologies. In a nutshell, RADCOM's R4000 translates into immense
value to customers", says Jessy Cavazos, Sector Leader of the
Communication Test & Measurement Group at Frost & Sullivan.
The
significant performance enhancement, flexibility and high-port density
the R4000 brings our customers gives them confidence that their investment
offers a growth path that will support their advanced and evolving
network testing needs,” said Dudi Ripstein, RADCOM’s General
Manager of Products and Technologies.
