Criterion
Software announces the launch of RenderWare Mobile, a comprehensive
embedded graphics platform that enables the delivery of games content
and high performance graphics across all personal devices, including
mobile phones, smart phones and PDAs. Targeted at mobile device manufacturers,
O/S vendors and operators who are under pressure to provide value added
content to their customers, RenderWare Mobile enables its customers
to maximize the commercial opportunities that mobile gaming and graphics
offers.
Inset is David Lau-Kee,
CEO, Criterion.
RenderWare®
Mobile is designed to provide the graphics features and rendering performance
required to deliver both of the emerging embedded graphics standards:
OpenGL (ES), and the Java Mobile 3D Graphics API.
Based on highly
engineered dynamic compilation techniques and subject to the
most rigorous testing regime, RenderWare Mobile can be accelerated by
increasing hardware performance or dedicated instruction sets, and it
can be
easily ported to new devices and operating systems without compromising
image quality.
David Lau-Kee, CEO,
Criterion says, "RenderWare Mobile is a natural
extension to the RenderWare suite of technologies and solutions for
the
games market, and our commitment to supporting open technology standards
within the industry. Our philosophy has always been to enable customers
to
deliver quality games content on any platform, whether a phone, PDA,
PC or
console. It's a really exciting time for mobile gaming , and with
RenderWare Mobile we intend to set the standard for the sector, just
as we
have already done so in the console market."
The RenderWare Mobile solution is available for integration into devices,
operating systems or content delivery platforms.
