Nokia 206 and Asha 205 Unveiled

Nokia might be focusing heavily on the smartphone market at the moment with the release of its new Windows Phone 8 Lumia range. However, they've not forgotten their bread and butter, the feature phone market.

They've now announced two new mobiles which are the Nokia 206 and the Nokia Asha 205. Both are affordable feature phones that are great for browsing and social networking which are available in single or dual-SIM versions.

The new mobiles are the first to feature "Slam" which enables users to transfers files over Bluetooth without having to pair devices, so it's like a Bluetooth equivalent of NFC.  You don't even need the mobile your sending to be a "Slam" device to take advantage of the new feature.

Nokia Asha 205

The Nokia Asha 205 is aimed heavily at social networkers and comes with a QWERTY keyboard making it easy to type and browse. Additionally, the Asha 205 has a dedicated Facebook button and comes pre-loaded with Twitter and eBuddy chat.

You'll also get 40 free games pre-loaded on the Asha 205 , while the mobile has amazing battery life offering up to 37 days standby time. It also comes in a choice of Cyan, Magenta and Orange and will cost $62 (£40).

As we mentioned previously it'll be available in a single SIM model, or a dual-SIM model which supports Nokia's EasySwap technology.

Nokia 206

The Nokia 206 adopts a classic design which includes a 2.4 inch display and an alphanumeric keyboard, which is makes it accessible to even the most inexperienced mobile users. However, that doesn't mean it's lacking features !

A whole host of applications come pre-loaded on the 206 including eBuddy, WhatsApp and a bundle of 10 free premium items. The mobile also has imaging technology that optimises pictures taken with the 1.9 mega-pixel camera.

The Nokia 206 is available in single or dual-SIM models and will be available in the 4th quarter of 2012 for £40. It'll be available in a choice of vibrant colours including Cyan, Magenta and Yellow.
