Europe : A new mobile phone has been launched by ELSE. The new mobile phone called First ELSE was previewed this week in London. The conceptual design of the First ELSE mobile phone was undertaken by Emblaze Mobile.
The information revealed at the “Preview Launch Meeting” for the First ELSE is limited and more will be revealed when the First ELSE mobile phone launches in 2010.
The First ELSE mobile phone comes loaded with 5 megapixel camera, A-GPS, Wi-Fi and a 3.5 inch LCD touch screen ( capacitive ). The company says its intention is to provide a serious alternative to having a dedicated sat nav mobile device, music player and digital camera.
The ELSE uses a jointly developed mobile platform called by “ELSE Intuition” which is generated from the ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0. The partners were Emblaze Mobile ( now ELSE ) and ACCESS Co. from Japan.
The First ELSE mobile phone was developed to offer navigation via your thumb with access to the four top level menus offering access to the various applications. The First ELSE mobile phone includes gesture control and opens applications by simply drawing one letter on the touch screen.
It’s an impressive launch of a new mobile phone and also a new mobile platform so we must wait till more details become available in 2010.
