FireFox Confirmed On Nokia N900

World : We brought you news last week that Firefox Beta was available on the Nokia N900.

It’s now been confirmed that the full version of Firefox will launch on the Maemo operating system in December.

The version of Firefox is identical to the one you would experience on your home computer and will be the best browsing experience available on your mobile.

The Nokia N900 will be the first Maemo device to run Firefox and will become a highly sought after mobile internet device.

Other Maemo 5 devices launched by Nokia in the future will also benefit from Firefox support.

After Mozilla concludes this project it will move onto getting Firefox to work on Windows mobile, which is the next operating system they aim to support.

Mozilla also said they won’t be providing Firefox for the iPhone, due to Apples control over applications that compete with their own applications.
