Stuart Bruce, Head of Sales, 3 commented: “We’re delighted to be the first 3G mobile operator to announce a retail partnership with Tesco in Ireland. Tesco’s has had huge success selling mobile phones and we’re looking forward to seeing 3 fly off the shelves.” Brian Harney, Non Food Buying Manager, Tesco Ireland said: “We are delighted to work with Ireland’s newest mobile phone network. Today’s announcement means that Tesco customers now have the choice of the very latest 3G mobile technology across thirty seven of our stores at great value prices.” Following a successful sales trial in Tescos, 3’s handsets and services are now available in Tesco stores nationwide including top-performing outlets such as: Finglas Clearwater
Each store will sell 3’s pay-as-you-go handsets with access to the very latest mobile media services like 3’s exclusive music show presented by Tom Dunne and Barclays Premiership highlights with controversial views from Ireland’s armchair pundit, Eamon Dunphy. 3 is selling a range of handsets from major manufacturers (Nokia, Sony Ericsson, LG) from 89 euros up to 229 euros for a top-end handset. 3’s customer can also top-up at Tesco with 10, 20, 30 or 40 euros.
