21st November , 2006

Orb Networks and the 3 Group, the global leader in 3G mobile broadband, announced a global partnership giving 3’s customers mobile access to their digital media stored on their home PCs.

The announcement was made today as part of Hutchison Whampoa’s global launch of the X-Series from 3, which unveils the true power of the internet on mobile broadband.

Working together, 3 and Orb Networks have customized Orb’s MyCasting service specifically for 3 customers and the 3 mobile broadband network. The new service gives 3 customers the ability to enjoy all of their home music, videos, photos, and TV on their X -Series mobile.

The Orb service on 3 simply streams a person’s own content from their home PC to their mobile. The X-Series from 3 will be available in the UK in December, followed by other 3 Group companies in early 2007.

“3 Group just gets it,” said Joe Costello, chairman and co-founder of Orb Networks. “They are the first mobile media company to give their customers the freedom and choices to use the mobile internet the way it was intended to be used. Who doesn’t want the freedom to control what digital media we enjoy, when we enjoy it and where? That’s the type of media freedom Orb provides. 3 is not running away from the future, they are running towards it with open arms, ripping down that walled garden and offering up the best of Web 2.0 services to their customers.”

Christian Salbaing, Managing Director European Telecommunications at 3 Group, said:

“Orb on 3 unlocks our customers digital content on their home PC. We believe the customised Orb on 3 service will give our X-Series customers a new and exciting mobile broadband experience, letting them do on their mobile what they already enjoy doing on their PCs, when they’re out and about*. 3 Group has been pioonering the internet experience on mobile broadband and we’re excited that Orb Networks has agreed to work with us as one of our key X-Series partners.”

Orb on 3 offers a number of key features and benefits:

· Orb’s MyCasting application has been customized and optimized for 3 Group mobile broadband networks in each country

· Flexibility of the Orb application allows the 3 Group to offer a “3” branded version of Orb for their customers. 3’s X-series customers will also be able to access their home PC files from web browser enabled devices like PDAs and PCs

· Orb on 3 provides a foundation for future integration with other X-Series services.
