Europe
Finland : Actimagine software video codec and DRM solutions are being
used to deliver full length movies on memory cards for mobile devices.
This
software allows storing a two hour movie on a 128MB memory card, bringing
the highest quality of visuals and sound to mobile phones. Compared
to other technologies, Actimagine display software requires far less
processing power and, in turn, less processing power extends battery
lifetime. For instance, Actimagine can run a full screen TV like display
for more than 61/2 hours on most of the current available smart phones.
In the UK, Actimagine
software video codec and DRM solutions are being used to deliver and
protect select full length feature films that Sony Pictures Digital
has released on memory cards for mobile phones. Spiderman(R)2 and
Monty Python and the Holy Grail were launched in June of this year
and new titles including Stuart Little, Ghostbusters and Hitch became
available earlier this month.
All mobile devices
like mobile phones, PDA's, Portable Multimedia Players can run Actimagine
software video codec and all flash memory card formats are supported.
To date, Actimagine has made versions of its technologies for Series
60(TM), UIQ(TM), Windows Mobile(TM), and PocketPC(TM).
A strong DRM solution
Actimagine has
patented a strong DRM solution that allows the protection of content
that is stored on a memory card.
"The combination
of a high-performance video compression technology with a strong DRM
system gives a clear signal to professionals that it's now possible
to release their valuable content on portable, non-spinning medias."
says Yann VIOT, Vice President Marketing of Actimagine.
Actimagine will
exhibit at the CES 2006 in Las Vegas, USA, from January 5th to 8th,
Sands Convention Center booth 70608 and at the 3GSM World Congress
in Barcelona, Spain, from February 13th to 16th, Hall 2 booth G066.
