: With 3G beginning to take off in Africa, telecoms system supplier
C3 Ltd of Cambridge, UK is working with Atlantic Telecom of Johannesburg
to deliver value-added telephone services in Southern Africa.
The two companies
will announce their distributorship agreement at the GSM Africa Show
2005.
C3 has a large
share in the wider value-added telecoms services market and offers
Communicate Kit, a value-added system specifically designed for Africa.
With the mobile market poised to explode into TV-to-mobile, C3 ’s
experience in the delivery of video streaming services is highly relevant
to the new range of video-to-mobile services.
Communicate Kit,
which allows African businesses and entrepreneurs to enter the fast-growing
value-added telecoms market can be up and running without a great
investment. It delivers service to mobile users by interactive text
(SMS and MMS), and voice (IVR) can can be integrated into the mobile
operator’s datacentre or operate remotely.
Atlantic Convergence
, the Multimedia wing of the Atlantic Group and an established Communications
company in South. Africa, has voice, text and data know-how and a
network infrastructure linking into fixed and mobile networks.
