Singapore : NTT DoCoMo reported that StarHub announced that they will
launch i-mode® service in Singapore beginning tomorrow, November
19.
The service, which will
be offered over StarHub's GPRS and W-CDMA networks, marks the opening
of the 15th market for i-mode, following Japan, Germany, the Netherlands,
Taiwan, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Australia, Israel,
Russia, England and Ireland, in that order.
DoCoMo concluded
an agreement in January 2005 to provide StarHub, a provider of integrated
info-communications services, with the know-how, technologies and
patents necessary to launch and operate an i-mode service exclusively
for mobile users in Singapore.
