UK : 3 UK announced the expansion of its ‘ThreeStore’
portfolio with a new store design that will bring third generation
mobile services to life on the high-street.
Today sees the
opening of the ThreeStore in Bluewater with a new store design that
reflects the growing importance of media content in the sales process
and is market-leading in its approach. 3’s experience from its
existing ThreeStores shows that customers value the experience they
provide in helping them better understand the products and as a result
customers utilise a wider range of 3G services.
Marc Allera, 3’s Sales Director, commented: “3 has a brand
that sets it apart from the competition on the high street. This innovative
design concept delivers a new experience-based retail approach that
is fun for the customer and makes the store a great place to work.
Not only do we have a great range of handsets and the best price plans,
people will want to visit a ThreeStore and have a look around just
because they’re so different.”
Whilst encouraging customers to interact with 3’s services,
the unique store concept also supports the delivery of key marketing
messages. The new design will bring “consistent variety”
to 3’s retail environment with new creative themes appearing
on a regular basis. This will be supported by a “How-To”
wall, a calendar of events and a “quick pay area” 3’s
customers will also benefit from the advice of 3’s sales assistants,
who are experts in video content, gaming and 3’s other new and
exciting media services.
3’s flagship store in Bluewater joins new stores in Lakeside,
Milton Keynes, Belfast, Bristol‘s Cribbs Causeway, Newcastle
and Sunderland. Several more prime retail sites are being considered
nationwide. The new stores extend 3’s existing own-store portfolio,
which currently consists of three original flagship stores in Oxford
Street, Kensington High Street and the Birmingham Mailbox and 150
3Point concessions within Superdrug stores. The sites are being selected
from the top forty retail locations in the UK and will give 3 far
greater footfall and brand presence on the UK’s high streets
and shopping centres.
The new design was conceived by Hutchison Whampoa’s International
Brand Group and with support in-store from Arno Fords and Coutts Creative.
3’s property team have been advised by GVA Grimley on the acquisition
of the sites.
