OIP-CNP Solution for Integrating 3G and WLAN Dual Network Services for Chunghwa Mobile

US CA : Azaire Networks announced that Chunghwa Mobile will deploy Azaire Networks' IP Converged Network Platform (IP-CNP). With the IP-CNP, Chunghwa Mobile will provide its subscribers seamless services across 2.5G, 3G and WLAN networks.

Chunghwa Mobile subscribers will be able to use a notebook PC with a 3G data card, a PDA or a dual-mode handset to access unified services across different wireless networks. Elta Technology Company, Ltd., a leading systems house in broadband, video and multimedia solutions, will assist with the integration of Azaire's IP-CNP into Chunghwa Telecom's core network.

Azaire Networks' new 3GPP- and IETF-compliant Next Generation IP Converged Network Platform, announced on October 26, is the world's first convergence gateway on the AdvancedTCA(R) platform. It supports both legacy voice and data services, as well as future IMS services. The new IP-CNP provides Chunghwa Telecom with a standards based solution that leverages the company's 3G core network investments for subscriber management, traffic management, IP services, customer care and billing systems.

Azaire's IP-CNP will enable Chunghwa Telecom to cost effectively deliver seamless mobile broadband services to its subscribers everywhere. For example, a subscriber can roam between macrocellular 3G networks and WLAN zones, always receiving the best connected service that has an identical look and feel.
