Top Global Introduces New MobileBridge

US CA : Top Global, a leader in wireless convergence systems, announced today the new MobileBridge MB8000 which supports 802.11a/b/g. Top Global has developed and patented the flexible MobileBridge™ platform which serves as a gateway/router that links 3G and WLAN/LAN networks, enabling enterprises to enjoy the flexibility and convenience of broadband wireless internet in truly mobile and remote environments. With the new 802.11a/b/g radio, MB8000 can now offer 54Mbps data rate for local area networking instead of 11Mbps. This data rate increase make the local wireless network more efficient for data sharing. The new product is available with special offer from the customers.

MB8000 is a patented, mobile/portable wireless communication gateway. It is the industrial first and the most integrated WLAN and WWAN solution for Enterprise, Mobile Hot Spots, and Residential applications. The products are simple to use and easily scalable. MB8000 combines the best of Wi-Fi technology and 3G mobile communications technology. It leverages the existing and widely available 3G infrastructures (CDMA 1x, EVDO, EDGE, UMTS, and HSDPA) with the flexible, low cost and simple to use WLAN technology for enterprise applications and for rapid deployment of hot spots anywhere around the world. The solution comes with a complete suite of software package including security, network management, and AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) features.

“We have developed this version of the MB8000 according to the feedback from many of our customers who are using it in events and trade shows. In such environment, the 2.4Ghz spectrum is crowded with severe interferences”, said Dr.Alan Zhou, Top Global CTO, “Our MB8000 with 802.11a/b/g can operate in either 2.4Ghz or 5.8Ghz spectrum, it gives the user a choice to avoid interferences and gets more bandwidth in the 5.8Ghz spectrum resulting in better user experience“.
