Java Video Software for 3GPP

US : XinLab, a leading provider of advanced streaming media technologies, has developed a 3GP Java Decoder Applet that allows seamless integration of wireless video media with other web applications.

Inset shows a screenshot of an MPEG-4 video with Java support.

Written in pure Java, the software does not require a plug-in or download installation. It supports 3GPP file formats and decodes both MPEG-4 and H.263 video. The software applet has been shown to successfully decode wireless video clips captured on all existing handsets, including models from Nokia, Sony, Ericsson, Motorola, Sharp and NEC.

• Runs on virtually all browsers with Java support, runs on JVM 1.0 and above
• Content protection: Built in DRM allows encryption of media file to prevent unauthorized distribution of video content
