Europe : Provider of global compliance services, Radio Frequency Investigation Ltd (RFI) has taken delivery of ORGA’s IT3 test platform as part of its planned rollout of 3G services.

The platform will enable RFI to provide full test services for manufacturers certifying terminals to the latest GCF and PTCRB requirements. Representing an investment of £150k, the platform supports 1.8V SIM technology and R99 SIM application toolkit (SAT) and provides the latest platform technology to carry out the necessary measurements of electrical and protocol properties.

IT 3 - The New Test Platform

Whether you're testing terminals like mobile phones or banking terminals, or testing Smart Cards like bank cards, SIMs, UICCs, or USIMs, you can't be sure that everything is working perfectly unless all relevant electrical and functional properties and functions are analyzed. ORGA's IT 3 platform offers a comprehensive solution for this wide range of requirements. It allows monitoring between all kinds of Smart Cards and terminals; terminal testing using Smart Card simulation; and Smart Card testing using terminal simulation.
With its unique modular structure, the IT 3 platform offers the flexibility for providing customer-specific solutions. Each module is a highly precise instrument. Together, they provide a high level of valuable information. The data transfer is analyzed from the bit level over the protocol level up to the application level. The electrical behavior is simulated and measured, also 1.8 V is supported. The Monitor is the base module of the platform. It can be added by the Digital Smart Card Simulator and the Analog Smart Card Simulator or by the Terminal Simulator. The complete platform is validated by an independent test authority.
