T-Mobile UK Signs 2G / 3G Managed Service Contract
9th May , 2006

Europe UK : Mobile network engineering experts, AIRCOM International have announced today that they have been awarded a multi-million pound managed service contract by T-Mobile UK.

AIRCOM was selected for this single vendor contract to facilitate T-Mobile’s aggressive nationwide roll-out plans. AIRCOM will perform a managed service to deliver roll-out management, integration, performance management and continuous optimisation of T-Mobile’s 2G and 3G network.

A key motivation for the selection of AIRCOM was that besides extensive consulting experience in each of the service areas, AIRCOM was able to offer a completely integrated solution which includes the use of their market-leading optimisation software and competence development services. AIRCOM was also able to offer an unequalled quality and availability of resources ranging from its own drive-testing vans and survey equipment to the deployment of senior consultants from AIRCOM’s own permanent global consultancy resource.

RANOPT, AIRCOM’s post-processing and analysis software will play an important role in the drive test optimisation. RANOPT reports will be published on the AIRCOM web-portal WEBWIZARD for online access.

AIRCOM is a truly vendor-independent supplier, which was a key consideration for T-Mobile, and has been at the heart of nearly 500 successful GSM and UMTS projects over the past decade.
