In a statement today, MiTV Chairman Dato’ Ir. Rosman Ridzwan ( inset ) said, “We are very thankful having been awarded the assignment. In particular, the company would like to express our utmost appreciation to the Ministry of Energy, Water and Communications and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission for their confidence in MiTV and their belief in our capabilities as a partner in the Government’s nation building agenda. MiTV looks forward to provide Malaysians with cutting edge mobile broadband solutions that offer more choices, more value for money and enriched multimedia experience. Having roots as a content-centric entity, we aim to deliver additional variety of exciting and engaging content to a new generation of mobile users. In order to deliver further value to our customers, we have begun engaging strategic partnerships with prospective Content, Application and Service (CAS) providers and Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs).” Dato’ Rosman added, “To this end, we are also committed to develop the local CAS industry through planned promotions, sponsorships and local procurement of content. Our activities will create more job opportunities in Malaysia, and hence enables MiTV to focus on the development of local resources and talent.” Dato’ Rosman

all three applicants had all met the minimum threshold in terms of
financial, managerial and technical capabilities. As such, we are
very pleased that we have submitted a very competitive bid. MiTV having
a solid shareholder track record, expertise in the management and
technical team, is confident of delivering our promise to the nation.
