|
The LG LX5550 mobile phone offers consumers the latest in voice recognition, voice command and speakerphone capabilities. Customers can access contacts, digit dial, shift the phone into drive mode or access voice mail simply by speaking the desired command. The handset’s driving mode uses these voice command and speakerphone functions to create a truly safe and hands-free way to use the phone in the car.
The LX5550’s uniquely-shaped external Organic Electro-Luminescent display (OEL) saves battery life and enhances the phone’s design while alerting the user to caller ID, missed calls and messages with colorful flashes of light. The LX5550 also features an internal color LCD screen, calendar with scheduler, CMX MIDI sound with 36 built-in ring tones and a vibrate feature, 99 speed dial entries, and a large phone book with room for 499 entries. "U.S. Cellular customers want handsets that offer a wide selection of the latest convenience and safety features," said Jay Ellison, executive vice president of operations for U.S. Cellular. "The LG5550 -- with voice recognition, voice command and speaker phone capabilities-- is a perfect match for our customers. The sleek, new design will be very popular with our customers, many of whom already are familiar with LG's innovative handsets." U.S. Cellular customers that subscribe to easyedgesm, the company’s next generation wireless service, also can download popular, easy-to-use applications including games, news, weather information and ringtones to their LG5550 handsets. Following is the complete listing of features for the LG LX5550 handset from U.S. Cellular: •
