JustYak™ Chat
Mobile Instant Messaging is an application that enables Instant Messaging
Service for mobile users using Java-enabled mobile phones and General
Packet Data Radio Service (GPRS) networks. It now supports the popular
Series 40 Nokia Java-enabled phones, including 6800, 7250, 7210, 6100,
6610 and 5100. Nokia’s Series 60 phones and java-enabled phones
from Motorola, Sony Ericsson, and Siemens have already been supported
since the introduction of JustYak™. “An user can pick up voice calls without interrupting the running of JustYak™ Chat application on the Series 40 mobile phone”, added Mr. Cheong. JustYak™ Chat brings the popular Internet Instant Massaging to the mobile world. It allows mobile-to-mobile and mobile-to-PC instant messaging across international borders. In addition, users could send text messages from their mobile phones to their Internet Instant Messaging buddies on ICQ®, MSN® Messenger and Yahoo® Messenger. Users could also join mobile public chat rooms and even create their own chat rooms. Unlike WAP messaging, JustYak™ users know the presence of their buddies and receive instant messages without the need to refresh the screen. JustYak™ Chat currently supports the following phone models: Motorola T720/T720i, Nokia 6800, 7250, 7210, 6100, 6610, 5100, 7650, 3650, Siemens S55/S56/S57 and Sony Ericsson P800. We will support more Java-enabled phones as they are being introduced. New models soon to be supported are Sony Ericsson T610, Motorola 388C and Siemens SL55.
