Dilithium Networks Founder Appointed to Wireless Board

US : Dilithium Networks, a leading provider of wireless multimedia solutions including voice and video transcoding gateways, announced that its co-founder and CTO, Dr. Marwan Jabri ( INSET ), was appointed to the board of directors of International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC).

Dr. Istvan Sebestyen, IMTC President, said "We are pleased to invite Dr. Marwan Jabri to the IMTC board. He brings deep and broad expertise in the multimedia industry, in which he has been actively involved for nearly twenty years. His appointment is almost a natural progression since Dr. Jabri has been an active member of the IMTC's H.324M interoperability Activity Group since the group's founding in 2000."

Dr. Jabri is an authority in multimedia communications systems including voice and video coding and transcoding, and multimedia quality of service over narrow and broadband networks. He has performed extensive research and development in the integration of media communications protocols and their implementation inside real-time systems. Dr. Jabri was closely involved with the ITU in the development of the ITU H.324 standard. He currently holds the Gordon and Betty Moore Chair at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Oregon Health and Sciences University.
