Hottest Trend in Wireless Phones Has a New Voice

US : Built-in camera phones are the latest trend to hit cellphones, with an estimated 18 million sold last year. And that number is expected to double this year, as camera phones become better and more affordable than ever.

Sprint and Sanyo, the companies that first introduced camera phones to the marketplace, are introducing the latest in camera phone technology with the new Sanyo 8100 PCS Phone. The camera's price, at under $100 after rebate, shows how camera phones are becoming more affordable - as most phones had cost several hundred dollars just a few months ago.

And the latest innovation in camera phone technology allows users to send pictures to friends and family while attaching a voice memo. So, not only can you send a picture, you can also explain what and why you're sending it. The new Sanyo phone also allows users to send photos to ten people simultaneously - so you don't have to keep forwarding photos over and over again.

To date, millions of pictures have been uploaded and shared on the enhanced PCS Nationwide Network and approximately two million have been shared and uploaded in the last two months alone. More than 75 percent of Sprint customers who currently use Picture Mail share their pictures with family and friends.
