Waterproof your Apple iPhone 5 with the Optrix iPhone Adventure Suit. No longer be jealous of Sony Xperia Z owners !
The Apple iPhone 5 is a stunning smartphone with a premium design, but it lacks the waterproofing of Sony's Xperia Z. In-fact, earlier today we reported on an iPhone 5 torture test where Apple's iPhone 5 failed after being dunked in water.
Yesterday, we posted a video of the Xperia Z at the swimming pool with an Irish synchronised swimmer which must have made iPhone 5 owners envious. The good news is that iPhone 5 owners can now waterproof their iPhone 5 thanks to Optrix's iPhone Adventure Suit.
Optrix iPhone Adventure Case
The Optrix iPhone Adventure Case makes Apple's iPhone 5 water-proof up to depths of 15 feet which is far beyond what other iPhone cases are capable of. Things get even better because the case has a lot of other excellent features including making the iPhone 5 robust enough to survive a 15 foot drop.
The case also includes an all-glass wide-angle lens which makes your videos even better. While, the Optrix case can also be mounted thanks to the inclusion of two adhesive rail strips. This opens up the possibility to attach it to your helmet to film extreme sports videos.
An optional "Super Strength Mounter" is also available which enables you to stick your iPhone to other surfaces, such as your car or surfboard. The industrial strength sucker is strong enough not to fall off , although we'd still be paranoid about the iPhone 5 dropping off. However, even if it does drop-off the robust case should save your smartphone from damage.
Optrix's iPhone Adventure Suit is currently only available in the US and costs $130, while the Super Sucker Mount comes in at $50. Find out more by clicking here.
As soon as 3G gets news on its availability in the UK we'll let you know.
