HTC One Declared Best New Smartphone - But What Makes It So Good ?

The HTC One is HTC's new flagship Android smartphone replacing the HTC One X. It's a stunning smartphone which we compared to Sony's Xperia Z earlier today which we pretty much declared a draw !

The HTC One has been awarded "Best New Mobile, Handset or Tablet" at the GSMA awards which were given out at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We can't really argue with the award and we're looking forward to reviewing the HTC One shortly.

HTC's devices have always been critically acclaimed , but have so far failed to reach the sales volumes of Apple's and Samsung's device. However, if they continue to prove smartphones as good as the HTC One they are bound to get the success they deserve.

Earlier this week we reported that the Samsung Galaxy S3 had won "Best Smartphone" at the Global Mobile Awards 2013. While, Samsung also scooped best manufacturer with best tablet going to Google's Nexus 7.

What makes the HTC One so good ?

The HTC One has a truly stunning specification which is fronted by a 4.7 inch touch-screen display running at 1920*1080 pixels. The smartphone is one of the most powerful smartphones on the planet thanks to its quad-core 1.7 Ghz proccessor and 2GB of RAM.

One truly innovative feature of the HTC One is its "Ultrapixel" camera which is a new technology reported to be superior to standard mega-pixel camera technology. HTC's smartphone also comes with 32GB of on-board memory and supports 4G LTE.

Android Jelly Bean comes pre-loaded on the mobile, while it's also Playstation Certified and features Beats Audio technology. Overall, it's a package that's hard to beat !
