ASIA Hong Kong : Critical Path announced that Hutchison Telecommunications (Hong Kong) Limited, has deployed Memova® Mobile Critical Paths consumer mobile email solution designed for the mass market. Marketed under 3 Hong Kong, the new Memova-powered service adds a new dimension to Hutchison Telecom Hong Kongs existing mobile email solution.

Based in a city with one of the highest mobile phone penetration rates in the world, Hutchison Telecom Hong Kong wanted to meet growing customer demand for mobile email services. To complement current enterprise email offerings, Hutchison Telecom Hong Kong chose Critical Paths mobile push email solution as a cost-effective way to address the mobile email needs of consumers, pro-sumers and SME subscribers. Unlike enterprise solutions, Memova Mobile works on virtually any mobile phone and does not require users to download or install client software. Additionally, the solution offers an easily managed inbox, delivering email messages from approved sources only eliminating mobile spam and giving consumers complete control over their email experience.

From consumers to SMEs, our customers are asking for new ways to stay connected without the high costs associated with traditional enterprise solutions. Designed specifically for non-enterprise users, Memova Mobile enables us to deliver the innovative services and features our subscribers demand, at a price they can afford, said Amy Lung, Chief Operating Officer-Mobile Hutchison Telecom Hong Kong. We see Memova Mobile as a strategic part of our 3G initiative and expect it to drive rapid adoption of MMS Email, as well as increased revenues.

Mobile Email from Memova Mobile works with almost any standards-based email service, enabling users to mobilize one or more of their existing email accounts. In addition, subscribers can easily send and receive multimedia content on their phones.

We are pleased and excited that Hong Kongs leading 3G operator has selected Memova Mobiles mobile push email solution, said Sanford Law, Sales Director, Asia/Pacific, Critical Path.
