Europe Spain : SouthWing announced the launch of the LiveEye wireless IP camera at CTIA Wireless 2008. This is the first IP camera to transmit data via cable/DSL, Wi-Fi, and 3GPP wireless networks directly to a 3G mobile phone, PDA, laptop, or PC anywhere in the world. The LiveEye also doubles as a 3G wireless broadband router giving the added benefit of going online during power outages or network failure.
This reassurance device can give peace of mind by enabling users to keep an eye on their home, office, vacation home or yacht.
The LiveEye has motion and audio detection that can be toggled on and off via text messaging or through its internal online web interface; when motion or a loud noise is detected the LiveEye automatically sends alerts through a text message to the user’s 3G mobile phone or email with a link to view the feed and assess the situation. Infrared night vision also allows users to see in dark conditions.
SouthWing’s LiveEye is Plug and Play, it configures itself with no need for a dedicated PC to monitor the feed. Additional Wi-Fi cameras can also be linked to the LiveEye with an optional Wi-Fi module.
SouthWing’s LiveEye represents the future of wireless technology and gives consumers a great reason to invest in a 3G mobile phone and take advantage of the many benefits of the 3GPP network.
SouthWing will exhibit the LiveEye, along with its product range of Bluetooth headsets, car kits and stereo headsets at Stand 6872, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas.
