: Sierra Wireless and TELES Communication Systems announced that TELES
has selected the Sierra Wireless MC8755 Mini Card embedded module
to provide 3G wireless connectivity for its TELES.iGATE fixed- to-mobile
wireless gateway system. TELES Communication Systems is showcasing
its iGATE system, designed to reduce interconnection costs for carriers
and corporate customers with heavy wireless traffic, at CeBIT 2006,
held in Hannover, Germany from March 9 to 15 (Hall 13, Stand A24).

with a reputation for high-quality, high-performance, and top-notch

MC8755 module into the iGATE system provides our customers with the

MC8755 PCI Express Mini
Card for HSDPA/UMTS networks

The MC8755 PCI Express
Mini Card module is built using the MSM6275(TM) Mobile Station Modem(TM)
chipset from QUALCOMM and offers peak download speeds of 1.8 Mbps.
The MC8755 operates on the 2100 MHz HSDPA UMTS frequency band and
is designed for markets in Europe and Asia. MC8755 modules are also
compatible with EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks on all four GSM frequency
bands (850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz), for global roaming in areas
where an HSDPA or UMTS network is not available.
