| US : Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today introduced 1xEV-DO air interface scanning capabilities for its Wireless Network Optimization Platform. This software upgrade helps RF engineering and operation teams identify interference issues and neighboring cell site configuration problems, enabling the smooth introduction and ongoing maintenance of 1xEV-DO wireless broadband data networks. 1xEV-DO is a high-speed data service with peak speeds of 2.4 Mbps and sustained throughputs of 300-600 Kbps, used for downloading business-critical data and large, complex files. Agilent's solution helps service providers manage network configuration and performance for high quality of service, improved customer satisfaction and maximum revenue. The same highly reliable tests offered in Agilent's Wireless Network Optimization Platform for voice and lower-speed data services are now available for 1xEV-DO networks. Agilent now offers service providers the most concurrent measurements in the industry, enabling unparalleled efficiency in air interface testing and troubleshooting. "Having a network-independent view of what is really being transmitted over the air is crucial to the effective delivery of high-speed data services," said Tom Walls, vice president and general manager of Agilent's Telecommunication Systems Division. "With our Wireless Network Optimization Platform's easy-to-use and customizable interface, RF engineers have the flexibility to quickly verify accurate neighboring cell site lists and identify and eliminate interference, helping to maximize user data throughput." The 1xEV-DO PN Scanning Receiver is available as a software upgrade for all existing CDMA2000-capable E64xx "C" receivers as Option E6474A-136. |
