2GHz 3G 1x EV-DO Card |
30th March , 2004 |
The card will be available from March 31, 2004. The new card will supercede the DO-BOX, and come with an expanded service area, including Nagoya and Osaka, and a revised service fee structure enabling users to take greater advantage of the service. Presently, the 2GHz service area covers central Tokyo, including the Chiyoda-ku, Chuo-ku, Minato-ku, Shinjuku-ku, Bunkyo-ku, and Shibuya-ku wards. This service area will expand to central Nagoya and central Osaka. Users are required to subscribe to either of KDDI's Internet access services, DION or Hikari Plus Net, to enable wireless data transmission using the 2GHz frequency band. Additional ISPs supporting 2GHz wireless service will be added. Basic fees are set at 1,500 yen per month (a reduction from 21,000 yen per month) and communications fees are set at 0.1 yen per packet. KDDI will also offer monthly fixed package fees. Packet Wari WIN Middle is fixed at 4,000 yen/month for transmission volume of up to 160,000 packets, and Packet Wari WIN Super will be offered for 7,500 yen/month for up to 500,000 packets. 2GHz DO CARD Spec Product
