New Siemens MMS Wireless Phone |
18th March , 2004 |
Europe : Siemens is pleased to present the next generation MMS phone – the tri-band CX65 – at CeBIT 2004, Hanover. Launched in Madrid earlier this year, the CX65 has a brilliant extra large, high quality 65.536 color screen and integrated camera for video and photography housed in a typically stylish Siemens design. The CX65 is the smart and stylish way to capture life’s best experiences. And, thanks to a new animated download assistant, the CX65 aims to make the mobile phone use easier for consumers. The CX65 targets users who are eager to explore a new dimension of MMS with full multimedia messaging. An integrated VGA video camera captures pictures and video images of life’s most memorable moments, while an extra large screen displays them vividly in 65.536 colors. Thanks to an attachable flash, which also offers red eye reduction, images can be captured in the dark too. The CX65 also offers a photo editor for users to play around with images before sending pictures via MMS or via the integrated email client over a mobile network. Adaptable and simple to use, the Siemens CX65 incorporates technology and style with ease. In addition to the advanced MMS features, a personal download assistant is on hand to help users easily personalize the CX65 by downloading content direct to the handset through CSD, WAP 2.0 or GPRS (up to 53.6 kbps). Taking the form of an animated character, the assistant guides users through, finding and installing the likes of polyphonic ring tones, wallpapers, pictures, games, chat applications and more from the Siemens internet. Users downloading games will also benefit from the CX65’s joystick which makes gaming more engaging. The CX65 also offers trusty Siemens reliability. Up to 11MB capacity provide plenty of storage space for MMS messages, video clips, and applications. And with a talk time of five and a half hours and 300 hours standby time on the battery, there is no worry about the CX65 running out of energy. Rudi Lamprecht, Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG and President of the Board of Siemens mobile, said: "The CX65 is the first phone to truly bring this next generation of MMS to the mass market. It’s the kind of phone that people who love communicating creatively have been waiting for. For them it will redefine messaging, screen quality and usability. The stunning size of the screen sets the phone apart from the rest as it enables to express and share emotions and thereby gives new excitement to mobile communication.” The CX65 comes with a wide range of Siemens Original Accessories to allow a maximum of convenience. Additional accessories include a variety of stylish CLIPit Covers Premium, an attachable flash with red eye reduction, a premium silver and black colored Headset, various chargers and data cables, an extra battery and practical carrying cases. Plus, there is a range of in-car solutions including an innovative plug & play Car Kit Easy and the convenient Car Kit Comfort both with exchangeable mobile holder for future compatibility as well as a flexible Car Kit Portable. The phone will be sold in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America from the second quarter 2004. It will be offered in ‘Cool Silver’ and its price will be available locally. |
