3G CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Operator Takes Provisioning Software

26th March 2003

Cramer Systems announced that its industry leading inventory management and provisioning automation software has been deployed into production at Monet Mobile Networks, a Seattle-based wireless broadband Internet service provider. Monet launched North America's first data-only, high speed, mobile Internet service in late 2002 in its Midwest markets.

Inset is David Canellos, Vice President, North America for Cramer who is quoted below.

Monet has built and commercially deployed North America's first CDMA2000 1xEV-DO (Evolution Data Only) wireless network, which delivers the unique combination of high speed, mobility, and a complete Internet experience. The Cramer product suite is a key component of Monet's back office system infrastructure, providing a consolidated, standardized view of Monet's logical and physical network inventory, as well as capturing and automating provisioning-related processes. The live Cramer platform is tightly integrated with Monet's order entry, order management, and customer care systems.

"Launches are significant milestones, but they only represent the beginning of the journey," said Monet chairman and CEO George Tronsrue III. "To reac our destination, we have to be ruthlessly focused on providing our customers with superior service, as well as keeping costs under control while growing our customer base. Cramer plays a vital role in all of these endeavors."

Cramer's software is supporting Monet's delivery of applications never before practical or possible over a wide area wireless network, such as ubiquitous access to email, secure access to corporate intranets and databases, and streaming video, multimedia, and position location services. Monet joins a growing list of wireless carriers offering second and third generation services who have selected Cramer to address their inventory
management and provisioning automation requirements. These companies include O2, Vodafone Ireland, Hutchison 3G, KPN Mobile, and Cegetel.

David Canellos, Cramer's Vice President and General Manager - Americas, said, "The deployment of the Cramer product suite into Monet's operational environment moves our Americas expansion forward, and it reinforces that our solution is the right choice for wireless carriers here and abroad."
