| Sony Ericsson Wireless Gaming Phone |

Sony
Ericsson unveiled the T310 – a colour screen mobile phone with
a very strong gaming and imaging offering, which will begin shipping
during this week in selected markets. Pre-loaded in the phone comes
one of the best-selling video game console titles, Activision’s
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4®, which is making its European, Latin
American and Asian mobile debut on the Sony Ericsson T310 mobile phone.
Together with the MCA-25 digital camera attachment and its MMS and email capabilities, the T310 is ideal for imaging and messaging. The T310 offers superior MMS messaging capability with personalized image formatting, making it possible to add frames etc to the images. Additional MMS Home Studio PC software, which provides an easy way to compose MMS-messages on a PC and then send them from the phone. “With our T300, we were the first company to launch a color-screen gaming, imaging and MMS-phone for the mass market and with the T310 we further strengthen our product offering in this category,” says Philip Vanhoutte, Corporate Vice President Marketing at Sony Ericsson. For its operator customers, Sony Ericsson will offer advanced gameplay levels for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4®, as well as other action sports titles including Kelly Slater’s Pro-Surfer™ and complete packages of MMStemplates, screensavers and polyphonic ring signals based on the music from the games. These will take full advantage of the 32-tone polyphonic capabilities of the T310, which further enrich the nuances of the music and sound. Additionally, other Jamdat games including the extremely popular Jamdat Bowling will come to the Mophun platform as part of the Sony Ericsson – Jamdat relationship. “We are pleased to partner with Sony Ericsson to bring exciting mobile phone content to Europe,” said Mitch Lasky, CEO of Jamdat Mobile Inc. “Jamdat partnered with Activision to co-publish Activision’s “O2” action sports titles including Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4® for mobile phones. This is a key part of our vision to drive the adoption and future success of nextgeneration mobile entertainment.” For the US, there will also be a GSM 850/1800/1900 version called T316 launching in Q2. |
